A Tribute to Erdem by Smythson

London designer, Erdem Moralioglu is known for extraordinary textiles and flawless craftsmanship. To mark his 10th anniversary in the fashion industry, Erdem has collaborated with various artists and craftsmen, Smythson included, to create a limited edition portfolio of his work.

The very best of the fashion industry pooled their skills in an homage to this extraordinary designer and we were honoured to count ourselves among them. Working from closely with Erdem and Studio Frith, we have helped them to realise their vision by handcrafting the portfolio itself that both houses and displays these collective works.

This one of a kind portfolio is a living embodiment of the creative genius of the fashion industry and bespoke craftsmanship across a myriad of creative mediums; as timeless and momentous as the art featured within its pages.

Erdem Anniversary Portfolio

Bespoke Portfolio for Erdem by Smythson

“It’s intended as a celebration of the extraordinary support I’ve received from so many people, each of whom has helped make this possible for me.”

Handcrafted by our artisans, this exclusive portfolio is covered in a printed silk from Erdem’s very first collection. It has been meticulously designed to display 10 specially commissioned photographs shot by legendary photographer Sølve Sundsbø.

Capturing one seminal outfit from each year of Erdem’s decade in fashion, the garments are worn by American model Guinevere Van Seenus. Each look is accompanied by commentary from the world’s foremost fashion journalists including Anna Wintour, Glenda Bailey, Tim Blanks, Lorraine Candy, Colin McDowell, Suzy Menkes, Sarah Mower, Thomas Persson, Justine Picardie, Alexandra Shulman and Lucy Yeomans. These collected essays are compiled into a wonderful folio, which has been hand printed in England by our highly trained artisans and fits seamlessly inside this limited edition portfolio.
